In some italian schools Ente per la Formazione e l’addestramento professionale nell’edilizia (Formedil) has some women  trainers that choose to work in the construction sector, such as: Francesca is from Piacenza in Italy and she lives and works in Italy.

QUESTION.- Why did you choose to train in a profession instead of another type of studies?

ANSWER.- When I was a child my parents passed on my passion for restoration, so I followed this interest and found myself in the construction sector.

Q.- Have you e trained in any else training course?

A.- Yes I follow a school for restoration for three years in Cremona and some specializating training course also in  Scuola Edile di Piacenza for safety.

Q.- How was the first day you worked in a building site?

A.- The first job was in a very large construction site, they made me a lot of spite, but I made myself respected.

Q.- How is the relationship with your colleagues?

A.- I still have many insertion difficulties today, as far as it is necessary to be very determined, because there are many prejudices.

Q.- How did you imagine the construction sector with much more women?

A.- Surely the more we are, the better things will go from the point of view of building sociality.

Q.- What would you say to a young girl who is considering joining the construction sector?

A.- Breaking down prejudices is important and especially seeing men change their minds.
