In some italian schools  Ente per la Formazione e l’addestramento professionale nell’edilizia (Formedil) has some women  trainers that choose to work in the construction sector, such as: Michela is from Piacenza in Italy and she lives and works in Italy.

QUESTION.- Why did you choose to train in a profession instead of another type of studies?

ANSWER.- Even as a child I looked at construction sites and was passionate about.

Q.- Have you be trained in any else training course?

A.- Yes I follow a school for restoration for three years in a training center in Piacenza and some specializating training course also in  Scuola Edile di Piacenza for safety.

Q.- How was the first day you worked in a building site?

A.- Very strange and exciting, not without difficulties.

Q.- How is the relationship with your colleagues?

A.- Very difficult there are still many stereotypes also and above all by the superiors or by the technicians.

Q.- How did you imagine the construction sector with much more women?

A.- More women less prejudices.

Q.- What would you say to a young girl who is considering joining the construction sector?

A.- If you have a strong and determined character you can overcome prejudices and have many satisfactions.
