Women can Build in ‘Objective: employment’ of M21 radio station

On the occasion of International Women’s Day

This Wednesday, March 7th, the European project Women can Build, led by the Labour Foundation for Construction, will have a place in the microphones of the radio station M21 of the Madrid City Council, on the occasion of International Women’s Day.

In the program ‘Objective: employment’, presented by Belén Pérez Castillo and broadcast live every Wednesday from 2:00 pm to 3:00 pm, the responsible for this European initiative will participate in the joint venture, Beatriz Oliete, who will explain the project, its objectives and the developments that are pursued. In addition, other guests will intervene to present different views and will address issues such as: women in sectors in which they are underrepresented, as in the case of the construction industry; data and professions in the sector in which women are present, within a traditionally male sector; and actions and initiatives for the incorporation of women in the labour market and women’s values ​​in the professional sectors.

Women can Build belongs to the Erasmus + programme of the European Union and aims to raise awareness and advocate for equal opportunities in the construction industry, improving the social conditions of the sector, promoting professionalization through quality Vocational Training, and promoting labour insertion, with the activation of the labour market.

The radio station M21 broadcasts for the entire city of Madrid and is made up by a team of journalism professionals who work together with journalism and radio students and apprentices.
