The Fundación Laboral de la Construcción recognized for its social commitment

The Spanish Association of Businesswomen in Madrid (Aseme, by its initials in English) has awarded Fundación Laboral de la Construcción the prize for social commitment in the task of disseminating, promoting and fostering the value of women in the sector.

Part of this responsibility is shown through the Women Can Build project, coordinated by Fundación Laboral since 2017, together with partner entities from various European countries, including training centres, business associations and the Public Employment Service of the Community of Madrid, which work in coordination to promote the insertion of women in the civil works.

From the project we have launched many initiatives to improve the visibility of women and to show the skills they have as professionals in the sector, because as the president of Aseme, Eva Serrano, defended during the last edition of the awards: “Equality has no ideology, and talent has no gender”.

Francisco Ruano, president of the entity in Madrid, was responsible for collecting the award, recalling the need to promote the incorporation of women in a sector where there are just over 118,000 women working, only 9.3% of the total.
