The German partner of Women Can Build, Bildungszentren des Baugewerbes eV (BZB), has organised a dissemination event on Thursday, 17th of September 2020 in Cologne (Germany). It was organized in a hybrid form with 20 people from 7 countries; most of the international stakeholders and a few German stakeholders were connected via virtual conference platform. Stakeholders stem from Vocational Education and Training centres, universities, branch associations, institutes dealing with sustainability aspects, human resource management, private companies, chambers and the German National Agency for Erasmus+.
The aims of this event were to create more gender awareness in the construction sector in order to improve the access of women to the professions of construction. These aims are also the central goals of Women can Build and served as an introduction of the necessity of the project.
During the day, the project staff has presented the Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) and demonstrated its structure that shall drive gendersensitive institutional transformation in VET centers and enterprises. In addition, they have explained that each training center of the partnership planned an immersive training experience for women with a duration of one week in order to organize the initial contact between women and training centers:
